Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: Paramus, New Jersey
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Interview required prior to offer.
  • Shift schedule:
    • Monday to Friday, between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm
    • Combination of 5 days of 8-hour shifts and 4 days of 10-hour shifts
    • No weekends or federal holidays
    • No 12-hour shifts considered
    • Short call rotation approximately every 4 weeks starting at 6:30 pm to finish cases

Requirements

  • Certifications:
    • RCIS or ARRT certification required
    • New Jersey State license required if ARRT certified
    • BLS and ACLS certifications required to start
  • Experience:
    • Electrophysiology (EP) experience required
  • Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

Licensure & Certifications

  • State license verification must be current (within 30 days prior to start)
  • BLS (AHA only) required for all clinical staff
  • ACLS (AHA only) required
  • Other certifications may be required depending on specialty and unit

Compliance & Documentation

  • Background checks:
    • 7-year background check within 6 months of start
    • Includes national sex offender, criminal, OIG sanction, SAM.gov, and other relevant searches
  • Education verification:
    • Verification of highest level of education required
    • Diploma can be used as placeholder if verification is pending
  • Physical exam:
    • Must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
    • Signed by MD, DO, PA, or NP stating candidate is in good health and able to perform job duties
  • Drug testing:
    • Negative 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
  • Immunizations and health requirements (must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing):
    • Flu vaccination (mandatory, no declinations accepted)
    • COVID-19 vaccination series with booster if eligible (no declinations accepted)
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (preferred, not required)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray
    • Proof of immunity or vaccination for Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
    • Hepatitis B surface antibody titer or declination
    • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Fit mask testing required for clinical positions within 1 year of start

Competency & Testing

  • Pass/fail testing onsite required for:
    • All RN specialties
    • EKG Technicians
    • Cath Lab Technicians
  • Core competency exams (Parts I, II, III) required annually with minimum 80% passing score
  • Medication and pharmacology competency exams required annually for RN and LPN positions
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required annually for all RNs (exceptions apply)
  • Color blindness test (Ishihara) must be completed within 1 year of assignment start

References & Work History

  • Two references required:
    • One from a supervisor/manager within 12 months of start
    • One from within 3 years of start
  • Employment verification for the last 7 years required
  • Updated resume including last 7 years of employment with explanations for gaps over 30 days

Additional Notes

  • Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required
  • Acknowledgement of pass/fail testing required for applicable roles
  • Facility-specific learning modules and tests must be completed prior to start
