Job Details

- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- State license (pending license accepted)
Important Notes
- Candidates residing in the following Texas counties are not eligible for this travel contract: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris.
Required Documentation and Compliance
- Background Checks:
- 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks upon hire
- Education verification (highest level) required
- Licensure Verification:
- Primary source online verification of state license
- NURSYS verification for applicable licenses
- Certifications (as applicable):
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB), NIH Stroke Certification, CPI
- Competency Exams:
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (minimum 80% or Angoff score)
- Color Blind Testing (online)
- Core competency testing annually (for subcontractors)
- Health Requirements:
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually
- Adult TDAP vaccine within 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Immunizations or positive titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (declinations not accepted)
- Other Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID
- Complete employment application/resume
- Unit-specific skills checklist annually
- 7-year work history verification
