Description

Travel RN Opportunity - Fort Worth, Texas

Position Details

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Employment Type: Travel
  • Location: Fort Worth, Texas
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • On-Call Requirement: 4 to 5 call days per month, including one weekend
  • Floating Requirement: Share staff between Surgical Hospital and Alliance campus

Unit Information

  • Unit: Surgical Hospital Alliance
  • Number of Beds: 7
  • Staffing: 3 total (1 OR RN and 2 CSTs on day shift; no night shift staff)
  • Patient Ratios: 4 to 5 cases per team
  • Typical Procedures:
    • Total joint replacements
    • Hip replacement
    • Tibia and Fibula surgeries
    • Ankle and foot surgeries
    • Mid-foot joint surgeries
    • Plastic surgeries including breast reduction, expansions, and reconstruction (Diep Flaps)
    • Robotic XI and DV5 procedures

Required Skills & Experience

  • Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty (RN)
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS
  • Licenses: Registered Nurse License
  • Skill Set:
    • RN Circulator capable of positioning patients on hospital beds, prepping, positioning for surgery, and monitoring all equipment
    • Candidates without these skills will not be considered
  • Preferred:
    • CST experience in Ortho, Plastics, and Podiatry (minimum 3 years preferred for CSTs)
  • Personality Fit: Positive attitude, hard worker, willing to take trauma call at main hospital

  • Staff in surgical services have an average tenure of 3+ years
