Travel RN Opportunity - San Marcos, Texas

Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)

• Location: San Marcos, Texas
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Work Schedule: Multiple shifts available; on-call as needed; one weekend per month (approximately 7 days)

Job Summary

• Practice independently in a similar clinical setting
• Provide routine and complex nursing care
• Manage clinical contingencies and long-range care plans
• Delegate and assign tasks to other care providers as appropriate

Responsibilities

• Meet applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders
• Provide nursing care following the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • RN License in Texas or compact license
  • BLS certification (AHA only)
