Description
OR Nurse Opportunity - Bridgeport, Connecticut
Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule
- Shift: Four 10-hour shifts per week (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
- Approximately 30% of shifts are 1:00 PM - 11:30 PM based on department needs
- Occasional weekend work required
- Call: 6 weekday and 6 weekend calls every 6 weeks
Clinical Experience & Skills Required
- Minimum 3 years OR experience
- Experience in a Level 1 trauma center
- Cases include OR trauma, orthopedic, spine, and neuro surgeries
Required Surgical Experience
- General surgery
- Robotics (DaVinci & Mako Ortho)
- Urology
- ENT
- Neuro (including cervical fusion and lumbar laminectomy)
- Plastics (including abdominoplasty and breast augmentation)
- Gynecology
- Orthopedics specializing in total knee replacements and total hip replacements (anterior and posterior approach)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Experience with EPIC, Surgicount, and TECSYS systems
This role is ideal for experienced OR nurses with a strong background in trauma and orthopedic surgery, comfortable with call responsibilities and varied shift times.
