Description

OR Nurse Opportunity - Bridgeport, Connecticut

Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

Shift: Four 10-hour shifts per week (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
Approximately 30% of shifts are 1:00 PM - 11:30 PM based on department needs
Occasional weekend work required
Call: 6 weekday and 6 weekend calls every 6 weeks

Clinical Experience & Skills Required

Minimum 3 years OR experience
Experience in a Level 1 trauma center
Cases include OR trauma, orthopedic, spine, and neuro surgeries

Required Surgical Experience

General surgery
Robotics (DaVinci & Mako Ortho)
Urology
ENT
Neuro (including cervical fusion and lumbar laminectomy)
Plastics (including abdominoplasty and breast augmentation)
Gynecology
Orthopedics specializing in total knee replacements and total hip replacements (anterior and posterior approach)

Preferred Qualifications

Previous travel nursing experience
Experience with EPIC, Surgicount, and TECSYS systems

This role is ideal for experienced OR nurses with a strong background in trauma and orthopedic surgery, comfortable with call responsibilities and varied shift times.
