Job Description

• Float RN covering ER, ICU, Medical-Surgical (MS) units
• May be asked to cross-train with Mother Baby unit if needed
• Night shift position

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA only
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - Preferred at start for ER, required at 6-month mark
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - Required within 3 weeks of start for Labor & Delivery (if applicable)
• Current Washington RN license (or compact license with additional WA requirements)

Licensure

• Must have current Washington RN license in hand before start

Additional Requirements

• Must complete a 10-year criminal background check within 30 days of start
• Education verification required
• Washington State Patrol (WSP/WATCH) search required within 30 days of start
• Drug screen within 30 days of start (10-panel, no instant tests accepted)
• Physical exam and health documents including immunizations and TB testing required
• Fit testing for N95 mask will be performed onsite (required for certain units)
• Photo for badge (headshot on plain white background) required
• Must have 3 recent employment references
• Completion of facility-specific onboarding and compliance documents required

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Tdap vaccine or signed declination
• Negative TB test (QGold or T-SPOT) within 30 days of start; chest X-ray if positive
• Annual TB questionnaire
• Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity via titer or vaccination
• Hepatitis B immunity or declination
• Varicella immunity or vaccination history
• Seasonal flu vaccination required by November 1 (declinations accepted with mask requirement)

Summary

This is a 13-week travel RN contract position in Washington requiring at least 2 years of RN experience. The role involves floating across ER, ICU, and Medical-Surgical units with possible cross-training in Mother Baby. Candidates must hold current WA RN licensure and have required certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC). Comprehensive background checks, health screenings, and immunizations are mandatory. Night shift availability is required.
