Travel RN - PCU
Location: Derry, New Hampshire
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
Required Years of Experience: 2 years in a hospital setting (PCU experience preferred)
Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
Unit Information
- Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Beds: 20
- Staff: 5 RNs & 2 LNAs (flex with volume)
- Shifts:
- Day Shift: 5 RNs
- Night Shift: 5 RNs
- Patient Ratios: 4:1
- Equipment: GE cardiac monitoring, Hospira IV pumps
- EMR System: Expanse
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong dysrhythmia recognition skills
- Critical drip experience
- Minimum 2 years PCU experience (preferred)
- Pre/post cardiac cath and pacer patient care experience (preferred)
- Prior experience with HCA Healthcare (preferred)
Certifications & Licenses
- Active Registered Nurse License (Compact license required at submission)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIH Certification
Work Environment & Expectations
- Self-directed, confident, positive attitude under pressure
- Strong communication skills
- Team player
- Floating Areas: Med Surg, ICU (for border patients), Emergency Department (for ED holds)
- Dress Code: Professional scrubs, no required color
- Weekend/on-call: Every other weekend or equivalent based on staffing needs
