Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years experience in Emergency Room (ER)
• Minimum 2 years experience in Medical-Surgical (MedSurg)
• Critical Access Hospital experience preferred but not required

Licensure & Certifications

• Active Compact or South Dakota State Nursing License
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Skills & Preferences

• EPIC experience preferred
• Ability to float between Med/Surg, Outpatient, and Emergency Department units
• Ability to cover ER as charge nurse preferred (flexibility possible)
• Experience with IV starts, Foley catheter care, and typical RN procedures
• Familiarity with equipment: EPIC, Philips central monitor/telemetry, Lifepak 15
• Must badge in and out at the facility

Work Environment

• 10 patient rooms, averaging about 4 patients per day
• Nurse-to-patient ratio typically 1:2 or 1:3, no more than 1:6
• Minimum staffing: 2 RNs plus either a PCT or LPN
• 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend
• Dress code: Navy scrubs

Orientation & Training

• Up to one week of tailored orientation
• Orientation includes at least one day shift and one night shift to understand both

Additional Notes

• Must indicate if previously worked for the facility with an end date at least 6 months prior
• Local placements within 80 miles
• Prior travel experience is NOT explicitly required for this position
