Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology

Location: Gilbert, Arizona
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Requirements

  • Must not have an Arizona driver's license.
  • Minimum 3 years of current Oncology experience required.
  • Must have ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate.
  • Certifications required:
    • American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS
    • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS
  • License must be active and clean with no hits on Nursys at time of submission.
  • Must hold an active Arizona or Compact nursing license.
  • Flu vaccination required (declinations accepted with proper forms).
  • Return to Office (RTO) requests:
    • Not approved within the first week or on holidays.
    • Cannot exceed 7 days.
  • Travel experience is preferred but not required.

Submission Requirements

  • Complete Banner Cover Page with all requested information.
  • Resume must include all facilities worked at, facility size, bed count, trauma level, and units.
  • Skills checklist specific to Oncology discipline.
  • Must provide documentation for all certifications and licenses.
  • Driver’s license (non-AZ) required.
  • Must comply with Banner’s specific background and compliance requirements.

  • 286 private rooms, 9 operating suites, and a 43-room Emergency Department.
  • Campus includes Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center, providing specialized cancer care.
  • Emphasis on a healing environment for patients and families.

Additional Notes

  • Learning modules must be completed prior to assignment start.
  • Assignments may be canceled with 7 days’ written notice without penalty.
  • Non-billable hours adjusted to 16 hours per assignment.
