Job Opportunity: Sonographer

Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• Sunday: 12:30 PM – 11:00 PM
• Monday to Wednesday: 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM

Job Description

• Perform general sonography cases including:

  • Abdomen
  • OBGYN
  • Small parts
  • Abdominal vascular
  • DVT and follicular
• NICU and OR experience is a plus
• Equipment used: GE Logiq E10, E9, and GE Voluson

Required Specialty Experience

Credentials & Compliance Requirements

Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted)
• Professional license verification (MA Conditional Licenses not accepted)
• Primary source verification of license/certification within 30 days of start date
• Fit Test (N95 respirator) within 365 days of start date, updated annually
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 – April 30) with no exemptions
• TB test (skin test or blood test) within 3 months of start date, updated if >6 month break
• MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
• Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break
• Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start date, updated if >6 month break
• Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start date, updated if >6 month break
• National sex offender check within 30 days of start and updated annually
• Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days of start and annually
• Education verification (highest level achieved)
• Respirator Medical Clearance attestation (if fit test required)

Submission Requirements

• Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city & state
• Two recent references (minimum one supervisor or above in skillset)
• Skills checklist
• Candidate submission coversheet

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
• Strongly preferred: Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity (optional)
• Optional: Tdap vaccine within 10 years
• Positive PPD requires negative chest x-ray documentation
• No religious or medical exemptions for flu vaccine or fit testing

This position is suitable for sonographers with experience in general sonography and familiarity with the specified equipment, who can commit to a 13-week assignment with the outlined schedule and credential requirements.
