OR RN Opportunity - Savannah, Georgia

Position Details

• Specialty: Operating Room (OR)
• Location: Savannah, GA
• Contract Length: 12 weeks
• Shift Options: 10-hour or 12-hour shifts, starting between 6:00 - 6:30 AM
• Call Requirements:

  • Call is required
  • One weekday per week and one weekend every 5 weeks
  • Call response time: 30 minutes
  • Call rotation with the team
• Floating: Occasionally between two main ORs; no ambulatory surgery floating
• Orientation: One week total (initial educator meeting plus 2-3 days with a nurse in the department)
• Dress Code: Ceil blue or navy blue scrubs (not provided)
• Work Environment: Smoke-free, faith-based hospital

Experience & Certifications

• Required Certifications: BLS
• Experience Required:

  • Proficient in General, Vascular, and Robotic surgery cases
  • Versatility across multiple service lines
  • Strong general surgery base
  • At least 1 prior travel contract completed (prior travel experience required)
• Preferred: Experience with Meditech EMR system
• Scrubbing: Scrubbing is a plus but not required

Unit Information

• Number of OR Suites: 19
• Average Cases per Day: 30-40
• Charge Nurse/House Supervisor:

  • Day charge until 3 PM, evening charge 3-11 PM
  • Weekend charge in-house Saturday and Sunday
  • Responsibilities include booking cases and prepping patients

Additional Notes

• Flexible hours with breaks: 15-minute morning break and 30-minute lunch
• Local candidate rule: Travelers must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be considered
