Registered Nurse (RN) - Rock Island, Illinois (Temp)

Job Overview

• Position Type: Temporary
• Location: Rock Island, Illinois
• Facility: Local campuses within the same health system (floating within the same discipline may be required)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Key Responsibilities

• Provide and manage patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Care for up to 5-7 patients (clinicians must be comfortable with this patient load)
• Experience in Med Surg, Post Op, or Stepdown units required
• Surgical and post-op surgical experience preferred

Work Environment & Requirements

• Must have a taxable address at least 50 miles from the facility (local travelers not accepted)
• Required to work 2 of 3 major winter holidays: Christmas, New Year’s, or Thanksgiving
• Limited time off allowed during holiday periods (11/26/25-11/30/25 and 12/23/25-1/2/26)

Licensure & Certifications

• Illinois RN license must be active at time of submission
• Iowa RN license also required; if not active, proof of application for Iowa single state or compact RN license must be provided
• Compact license allowed

Submission Requirements

• Work history/resume demonstrating relevant experience
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
• License verification and copy of required certifications
• One supervisory reference required at time of submission
• Proof of taxable address (one of the following documents):

  • Driver’s License
  • Current Utility Bill
  • Lease/Rental Agreement
  • Mortgage Statement/Bill
  • Homeowner’s or Renter’s Insurance Statement/Bill
  • Voter Registration
  • Bank Statement

This role is suited for experienced RNs comfortable with moderate patient loads in Med Surg, Post Op, or Stepdown settings, who meet licensure and documentation requirements and are willing to work specified holiday shifts.
