Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technician
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 26 weeks
Job Description
- Experienced IR technologist skilled in Angiography (Angio) and Neurointerventional Radiology (NIR)
- Equipment experience required with Siemens, Philips, and GE systems
- Shift options include:
- Two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts per week
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
- Days of the week to be determined
- Additional coverage may include late shifts, weeknights, on-call, and potential weekend rotation
- Must hold Massachusetts state licenses in Radiology prior to start date
Required Experience
- Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technician

Licensure & Certifications Required Before Start
- Massachusetts Radiology State License (no conditional licenses accepted)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA preferred)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification (AHA preferred)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
Health & Safety Requirements
- Fit Test for N95 respirator within 365 days of start date, updated annually
- Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions allowed
- TB test (skin test or blood test) within 3 months of start date, updated if break >6 months
- MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
- Health Statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date, updated if break >6 months
- Optional but strongly preferred: Hepatitis B and Tdap vaccinations
- If positive TB test, documentation of negative chest X-ray required
Background & Professional Requirements
- Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, updated if break >6 months
- Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start, updated if break >6 months
- National sex offender registry check within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
- Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
- Education verification of highest degree achieved
- Social Security Number trace for past 7 years
- Submission of 2 recent professional references (minimum 1 supervisor or above)
- Submission of a detailed resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
- Completion of skills checklist and candidate submission coversheet
Additional Requirements
- Submit a professional badge photo (color, recent within 6 months, no filters or glasses)
- Confirmation of assignment form required upon acceptance and for any start date changes
- Respirator Medical Clearance attestation required if fit test is required
Summary
This is a long-term assignment for an experienced Interventional Radiology Technician with strong skills in Angio and NIR, familiar with Siemens, Philips, and GE equipment.
