Travel CST/ORT Position - Florida (Hudson)

Job Details

Specialty: Certified Surgical Technician (CST) / Operating Room Technician (ORT)
Location: Hudson, Florida
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Facility & Unit Information

Level II Trauma Center
12-suite Operating Room, including 2 Cardiovascular Operating Rooms (CVORs)
Staffing: 2 CVORs staffed with 4 RNs and 4 CSTs on day shift; night shift is on-call
Patient Ratio: 1:1
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Meditech

Required Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 5+ years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience (higher value between 1 and 5 years applied)
Main OR experience with willingness to float to main OR
Certifications: BLS and Certified Surgical Technician (CST) Certification

Preferred Qualifications

Nurses who also scrub
RNs with Meditech experience

Typical Procedures

Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) / Valve Replacement
Thoracic and Vascular surgeries

Work Schedule & Expectations

Scheduled according to facility policy
Expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees
