Travel CST/ORT Position - Florida (Hudson)
Job Details
- Specialty: Certified Surgical Technician (CST) / Operating Room Technician (ORT)
- Location: Hudson, Florida
- Employment Type: Travel Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Facility & Unit Information
- Level II Trauma Center
- 12-suite Operating Room, including 2 Cardiovascular Operating Rooms (CVORs)
- Staffing: 2 CVORs staffed with 4 RNs and 4 CSTs on day shift; night shift is on-call
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Meditech
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience (higher value between 1 and 5 years applied)
- Main OR experience with willingness to float to main OR
- Certifications: BLS and Certified Surgical Technician (CST) Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Nurses who also scrub
- RNs with Meditech experience
Typical Procedures
- Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) / Valve Replacement
- Thoracic and Vascular surgeries
Work Schedule & Expectations
- Scheduled according to facility policy
- Expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees
