Position Details

Unit Information

• Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab (Department 746)
• Facility Type: Level II Trauma Center
• Bed Capacity: 383 total beds; Cardiac Cath Lab has 5 procedure suites
• Staffing: 1 Director, 1 CNC, approximately 4.6 staff RNs, and 5 techs
• Shift: Day shift for all staff; night shift on-call crew for emergent cases only
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 1 patient to 3-4 staff members
• Equipment: Shockwave, Laser, CSI, Penumbra, IABP, Impella, Rotoblator
• EMR Systems: MacLab & Meditech

Required Skills and Experience

• Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty
• Required Clinical Experience: Cardiac Cath, CRM, and Peripheral Vascular (PV) experience
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Licenses: Registered Nurse License

Preferred Skills

• Experience with EP/ABL procedures is preferred but not mandatory

Typical Procedures Performed

• Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Catheterization
• Peripheral Vascular procedures
• Pacemakers, ICDs, Watchman device, TAVR
• Electrophysiology/Ablation (EP/ABL)

Schedule and Work Expectations

• Scheduled according to facility policy
• Expected to work every other weekend and holidays on a rotating basis with hospital employees
