Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Shift and Call Details

• Day shift with on-call rotation
• Call frequency: 2 nights per week and 6 weekends during the 13-week contract period

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
• Perform patient assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care
• Administer medications and treatments according to nursing standards and state laws
• Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation
• Develop and execute individualized patient care plans
• Provide patient and family education
• Participate in department/unit performance improvement and shared governance
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments
• Manage patient safety and complex situations, delegate appropriately, and escalate issues as needed
• Engage in professional development and continuous learning
• Support peer review and feedback processes
• Maintain timely patient flow and perform telephone triage (for clinic and ambulatory settings)

Education and Certifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current Illinois RN licensure
• Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Must successfully pass EKG test prior to orientation completion
