Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel Position

Location: Caldwell, Idaho


Facility & Unit Information

  • Hospital Type: Main Hospital
  • Unit: Therapy Services
  • Beds: 13 ICU beds, 27 Medical-Surgical beds, 10 Ortho Spine beds, Behavioral Health Unit, 2 same-day surgical suites
  • Staff on Unit:
    • 1 Full-Time PT
    • 1 Full-Time PTA
    • 1 Full-Time OT (this position)
    • 1 Full-Time OTA
    • Several PRN staff
  • Shifts:
    • Day Shift: 1 PT, 1 PTA, 1 OT, 1 OTA
    • Night Shift: On-call support for late surgical cases
  • Patient Ratios: Vary
  • Equipment: Standard
  • EMR System: Meditech

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required
  • Licenses: Idaho Occupational Therapy License required
  • Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) required
    • OTR Certification required
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Occupational Therapy specialty
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not specified (assumed not required)

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform evaluations and treatments of patients
  • Support all units where evaluations are ordered, including occasional support for recreational therapy
  • Quick turnaround of evaluation orders
  • 100% evaluation of CVA (stroke) patients

Additional Notes

  • Therapists float to support multiple units as needed
