Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (Travel/Contract)
Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Position Details
- Accepting CRT or RRT candidates
- Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Must hold a current Ohio RRT license at time of submission
- NBRC and BLS certifications required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Work schedule includes weekends as needed and potential floating to other facilities within the system
- Contract duration options: 8 or 12 weeks
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Ohio RRT License (mandatory)
- NBRC certification (CRT or RRT)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA preferred, RQI acceptable but non-RQI preferred
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - Required for RRTs working in Emergency Department
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - Required for RRT-NICU specialty
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - Required for RRT-NICU specialty
Compliance & Background Requirements
- Valid government-issued photo ID must be carried during assignment
- Criminal background check required prior to start; must be updated if break in service exceeds 2 months
- Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
- FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 12 months of start; must be completed before onboarding
- Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming ability to perform essential job functions
- Negative TB test (2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold/T-Spot) within 6 months of start, renewed annually
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start, updated annually (specific approved mask models required)
- Drug screening (10 panel + Nicotine) within 12 months of start, updated annually
- Immunization or titer proof required for: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31)
Documentation & Training
- Transcript/Diploma required for all candidates
- Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start, updated annually
- Unit-specific skills checklist required, updated annually
- Employment application must include 3 years of prior work history, with at least 2 years clinical practice in acute care and similar specialty
- Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references required
- Completion of facility-specific online training modules (4-5 hours) prior to start; must be completed on a computer using Chrome browser
- HIPAA orientation and safety manual acknowledgement required, updated annually
- I9/E-Verify attestation required
Additional Notes
- Candidates may be required to float to other facilities within the system as needed
- Fingerprinting and badge pickup occur onsite after completion of required modules
- Candidates working with pediatric patients (RRT-NICU) have additional fingerprinting requirements during onboarding
- All work history, including any previous positions within the system, must be included in the candidate profile
