Unit Information

Unit: Respiratory
Beds: Medical-Surgical (30), Transitional Care Unit (8), Emergency Department (12)
Staffing: Dayshift 1-2 therapists, Nightshift 1 therapist
Equipment: V60 (BiPAP), GE 860 ventilators, Vapotherms, Comfort Flows, Aervo
Documentation System: Cerner
Scheduling: 12-hour shifts including rotating weekends
Patient Care Focus: Emergency care, critical care, intubations, access/treatment

Required Certifications and Licenses

RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) License/Certification

Experience Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist

Skills and Responsibilities

Critical care and ventilator management
Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) procedure and analysis
Participation in Rapid Response and Code Blue teams, including intubations as needed
Ability to work independently and develop patient care plans based on diagnostic results and protocols
Collaborate effectively with physicians and nursing staff
Perform daily treatments and assessments on the unit
