Travel RN Opportunity - Asheville, North Carolina

Position Details

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Employment Type: Travel
  • Location: Asheville, NC
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks

Facility Overview

  • 80-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital
  • Regional referral center offering rehabilitation for stroke, traumatic brain injury, amputation, and other conditions
  • Provides a full continuum of post-acute rehabilitative care including physical, occupational, and speech therapies
  • Only rehabilitation hospital in Western North Carolina (not a skilled nursing facility)
  • Accredited by CARF and Joint Commission

Unit Information

  • Unit Type: All 4 units connected and interchangeable (no floating)
  • Number of Beds: 65
  • Patient Ratios: 5-6 patients per nurse
  • Staffing Support: CNAs available all shifts; 11 hours of unit secretary support
  • Scheduling: Mostly 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts, primarily on weekends
  • Equipment: IV pumps, specialty beds, feeding pumps, lifts and transfer equipment, life vests
  • Documentation System: Meditech
  • Procedures: Two dialysis rooms on unit (dialysis performed by nurses from another facility)
  • Dress Code: Navy scrubs with white tops

Requirements

  • Licenses: Registered Nurse License
  • Certifications: BLS required
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in nursing specialty
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not specified (assumed not required)
