Travel CST First Assist Opportunity
Location: Tallahassee, Florida
Specialty: CST/ORT (Certified Surgical Technologist / Operating Room Technician)
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Facility & Unit Overview
- Growing Orthopedic Outpatient Surgery Center specializing in all orthopedic surgeries and spine surgery, including robotic total joint replacement.
- 6 OR rooms with a 1:1 patient ratio (1 OR RN and 1 scrub tech per room).
- Scheduling: 10-hour shifts with possible overtime; no call, nights, weekends, or holidays.
- Documentation system: Paper-based.
- Equipment: Varies, including advanced technology for orthopedic and spine procedures.
Procedures Performed
- Hand, Foot & Ankle surgeries
- Sports Medicine procedures
- Total Joint Replacement surgery
- Spine surgery
- Pain procedures
Required Certifications & Skills
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required; may be waived with appropriate experience.
- OR First Assist Certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Surgical Technician experience specifically with Orthopedics.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty (CST/ORT).
