Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Sunnyside, Washington

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA only
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - Preferred at start, required by 6 months

Licensure

• Current Washington RN license verification required within 30 days of start
• Compact license accepted with additional state-approved suicide prevention training and demographic attestation (Washington cannot be the compact issuing state)
• NURSYS verification required for all RNs

Health & Compliance Requirements

• 10-year criminal background check within 30 days of start (includes SSN trace, alias/name changes, statewide and national checks)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
• Education verification and diploma copy required
• Washington State Patrol (WSP/WATCH) search within 30 days of start
• Physical exam with physician-signed health statement within 1 year of start
• Fit testing for N95 mask onsite (required for TB isolation care)
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine or signed declination
• Negative TB test (QGold or T-SPOT within 30 days of start; PPD not accepted) or chest X-ray within 1 year if positive
• Annual TB questionnaire
• Immunizations or titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug screen within 30 days of start (10-panel, no instant tests accepted)
• Seasonal flu vaccination required by November 1 (declinations accepted with mask requirement)

Additional Requirements

• Photo for badge (headshot, shoulders up, plain white background)
• Completion of facility-specific onboarding documents including Code of Conduct and confidentiality agreements
• Must provide 3 recent employment references
• Employment application including all states lived/worked in for background check

Notes

• Fit testing is required onsite and must be renewed annually
• No PAPR testing for failed fit tests; failure disqualifies RN from TB isolation patient care
• Certifications must be AHA only; ARC cards considered case-by-case
• TNCC required by 6 months on assignment
• Flu shots available onsite from September to October

This position offers a travel/contract opportunity for experienced RNs with required certifications and licensure to work in a multi-specialty float role covering ER, ICU, and medical-surgical units.
