Description
Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Department: Respiratory Therapy
- Number of Beds: 317
- Number of Staff: 27
- Shift for Traveler: 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM (Night Shift)
- Respiratory Therapist Staffing:
- Day Shift: 4-5 RTs
- Night Shift: 3 RTs
- Patient Ratios: No set ratios
- Equipment Used: Ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP
- EMR System: EPIC
- On Call Requirements: None
- Weekend Requirements: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
- Typical Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- NICU experience (e.g., attending deliveries, intubation, ventilator management)
Typical Procedures
- Ventilator and non-invasive ventilator patient monitoring
- Breathing treatments
- Arterial blood gas collection
Floating Areas
- ICU
- PCU (Progressive Care Unit)
- ED (Emergency Department)
- Medical floors
- NICU (if possible)
