Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Certifications & Licenses Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support): Required
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute): Preferred
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required as applicable
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): Required as applicable
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure): Required as applicable
• CHEMO (Chemotherapy): Required as applicable
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course): Required as applicable
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB): Required as applicable
• NIH Stroke Certification: Required as applicable (expires annually)
• State License Verification: Primary source online verification required
• NURSYS Verification: Required for RN

Competencies & Testing

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (80% score or meet/exceed Angoff score)
• Color Blind Testing (Relias online version acceptable)
• Competency Exam (minimum passing score 80% or higher if Angoff score is higher)
• Core Parts I, II, III testing (for subcontractors, must be completed annually)

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical Exam within 12 months of start
• Fit Mask Test within 1 year of start (must renew annually)
• Adult TDAP Vaccine within 10 years of start
• Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year of start
• TB Questionnaire within 90 days of start (required annually if positive)
• Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
• Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted
• Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history required
• Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days of start
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (10/01 - 03/31)
• COVID-19 Vaccine (Dose 1 and Fully Vaccinated) or approved medical/religious exemption required

Background & Documentation

• 7-year background check within 1 year of start (updated annually)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire
• Education verification required (highest level)
• Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation (New Mexico placements only)
• Photo for badge required
• Employment application/resume required
• 7-year work history verification required
• Unit-specific skills checklist required annually

This position is suitable for nurses with at least 1 year of experience in the specialty and who are comfortable working night shifts in a medical-surgical unit with a 1:6 patient ratio. Prior travel experience is not required, making it accessible for first-time travel nurses.
