Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Job Description
- Rehab Days shift
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
- Open to first-time travelers (no prior travel experience required)
- Option to work either 36 or 48 hours per week
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Required Experience
- Specialty: Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of experience
- Prior travel experience: Not required
Certifications & Licenses
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required (AHA, ARC, RQI, or American Safety and Health Institute)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as applicable
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) as applicable
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) as applicable
- CHEMO (Chemotherapy) as applicable
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) as applicable
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) as applicable
- NIH Stroke Certification as applicable (expires annually)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) as applicable
- State Nursing License verification required (primary source online verification)
- NURSYS Verification required for RN
Competencies
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (80% score or meet/exceed Angoff score)
- Color Blind Testing (online version acceptable)
- Competency Exam (minimum passing score 80% or higher if Angoff score is higher)
- Annual Core Testing for subcontractors
Background & Documentation Requirements
- 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire
- Education verification required (highest level of education)
- Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation (New Mexico placements only)
- Complete employment application/resume required
- 7-year work history verification required
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start, must renew annually (fit test done onsite)
- Adult Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- TB questionnaire within 90 days of start (if positive TB test)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted
- Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history required
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required (declinations not accepted)
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Clear headshot photo for badge
- Fingerprint consent form must be signed prior to start (for New Mexico placements)
- Employee vehicle registration form must be completed prior to start
Additional Notes
- Behavioral Health RNs must have APNA eLearning Center certification for competency-based training on conducting face-to-face assessments for persons in restraint or seclusion prior to start
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required
- Internal references and skills checklists required but not mandatory for clearance
This position is suitable for Registered Nurses with at least 1 year of experience interested in a travel contract in rehabilitation nursing with flexible hours and comprehensive credentialing and health requirements.
