Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Suitable for first-time travelers (prior travel experience NOT required)

Work Schedule

• Option of 36 or 48 hours per week

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as applicable
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) as applicable
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) as applicable
• CHEMO certification as applicable
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) as applicable
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) as applicable
• NIH Stroke Certification as applicable (expires annually)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) as applicable

Licensure & Verification

• Primary source online verification of state license required
• NURSYS verification required for RN, LPN/LVN, AP
• Education verification required (highest level of education)

Background & Compliance Checks

• 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check required upon hire
• HHS/OIG check required upon hire
• Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation (New Mexico placements only)
• Work history verification for past 7 years required

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (fit test done onsite)
• Adult Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
• Negative TB test (2-step PPD, QGOLD, or TSPOT) within 1 year
• TB questionnaire within 90 days of start (if positive TB test)
• Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
• Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted
• Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history required
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required

Competency Requirements

• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam (80% passing score or meet/exceed Angoff score)
• Color blind testing (online version acceptable)
• Competency exams as applicable to profession (minimum 80% passing score or Angoff score)
• Annual core testing for subcontractors (HIPAA and safety manual acknowledgment)

• Completion of employment application/resume
• Unit-specific skills checklist required annually
• Completion of fingerprint consent form prior to start (New Mexico only)
• Employee vehicle registration form required prior to start

This position offers a travel/contract opportunity in a rehabilitation setting with flexible hours and is open to nurses with at least one year of experience, including those new to travel nursing. Compliance with extensive health, background, and competency requirements is mandatory.
