Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology RN (SFMC)

Location: Peoria, Illinois

Position Details

• Shift Schedule:

  • 4 days per week
  • Hours between 06:30 AM - 06:00 PM
  • 9-hour shifts
  • Not self-scheduling

Requirements

• Licensure: Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that application process has been initiated
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Experience:

  • EKG interpretation required
  • Drip titration experience required
• Prior Travel Experience: Not specified (no indication that prior travel experience is required)
• Drug Screening: Must produce a negative drug screen for all panels (Drug-Free Campus)

Work Environment & Responsibilities

• Caseload: 20-30 cases per day on average
• Labs/Suites: 6 labs including pre-op and phase 2 recovery
• Patient Types: GI bleed, strokes, biopsy, central lines, drains, vascular cases
• Call Requirements:

  • Primary and secondary call 6-8 shifts in 6 weeks, including weekends
  • Holiday call required, but department closed on holidays
  • Call response time: 30 minutes
• Orientation: 5 days unit/department specific orientation plus 12 non-billable orientation hours
• Staffing:

  • Charge RN on shift from 07:30 to 17:00 (does not take patients)
  • 1 Patient Care Technician (PCT) IR Tech
• Patient Ratios:

  • Intraprocedural max 1:1
  • Phase 2 recovery max 1:4
• Floating: No floating required
• Dress Code: Surgical scrubs provided
• EMR/Equipment: EPIC system, Phillips monitors

Additional Notes

• Local placements accepted within a 50-mile radius
• OSF Call Off Policy: Equivalent of 12 hours off every 13 weeks with no penalty or payback required for the shift

This position is suitable for RNs with strong interventional radiology skills, EKG interpretation, and drip titration experience, looking for a structured 13-week contract with defined call responsibilities and a supportive team environment.
