Job Opportunity: CST/ORT - Travel Position in Colorado (Denver)
Position Details
- Specialty: CST/ORT (Certified Surgical Technologist / Operating Room Technician)
- Location: Denver, Colorado
- Employment Type: Travel
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: Swedish Main OR 70117
- Number of ORs: 14
- Staffing: 70 Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs)
- Shift Coverage:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 1 RN/1 ST per OR, PCTs, ATs, Trauma team
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 1 RN, 1 ST
- Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:1 (estimated, not guaranteed)
- EMR System: Meditech
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NBSTA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting)
- DORA (likely state-specific certification)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in CST/ORT specialty (highest required years of experience)
- Must Have:
- Ortho/Joint experience
- Flexibility to work day/evening hours as needed
- Call availability
- Self-direction and accountability
- Preferred:
- Level I trauma experience
- Experience with shifts from 1500-2300 (or 1100-2100 considered)
Typical Procedures
- All procedures except Cardiovascular OR (CVOR), Neurosurgery, and Transplants
Work Environment & Culture
- Team-oriented with a high level of accountability and expertise expected
