Unit Information

• Department: Interventional Radiology (IR)
• Setting: Level I Trauma Center with Comprehensive Stroke Center of Excellence designation
• Beds: 5 Interventional Radiology suites
• Staffing:

  • Day Shift: 1 charge RN, 5 RNs, 1 manager, 10 IR techs
  • Night Shift: Call teams
• Patient Ratios: 1 patient : 1 RN : 2 techs
• Equipment:

  • 4 Siemens Bi-plane systems
  • 1 Siemens Single plane system
• EMR Systems: Meditech, GE Centricity PACS

Required Qualifications

• Certifications:

  • ARRT Certification
  • BLS Certification
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience (higher requirement confirmed)
• Call: Unable to take call

Preferred Qualifications

• Neuro IR experience
• Vascular Interventional (VI) registry

Typical Procedures Performed

• Neuro interventions (stroke, stent/coil, vasospasm)
• Trauma embolization
• Chemo embolization
• SIR Sphere embolizations
