Cardiac Cath Lab Tech - Travel Position
Location: Overland Park, Kansas
Job Details
- Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
- Employment Type: Travel
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Unit: Cardiovascular (CV) Department
- Shift: 5 shifts per week, 8 hours each (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM), plus on-call for cath lab and stay-late teams for EP
- Floating Policy: Closed unit, no floating outside CV Dept.
- Patient Ratios: Not applicable
- Unit Staffing: Staffed with RNs and CV Techs only
Required Certifications & Skills
- RCIS or ARRT certification required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Cath Lab Tech Certification required
- Must have prior EP and/or Cath Lab experience (minimum 1 year experience in specialty)
- Advanced skills in ACLS required
Procedures Performed
- Cath/IR: Various interventional radiology procedures, diagnostic cath, complex PCI/CTO cases
- EP: Variety of electrophysiology procedures including device implants, LAAO cases, and complex ablations
Equipment & Documentation
- Equipment: GE and Philips labs
- Documentation Systems: MacLab and Meditech EMR
Additional Requirements & Information
- Must be able to respond within 30 minutes for cath lab on-call needs
- Dress Code: Scrubs provided
- The unit is very busy and uses advanced technology to care for complex patients
- No patient experience requirements specified
