Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (Travel/Contract)

Location: Vero Beach, Florida
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Position Requirements

• Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
• Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Licensure: Must have Florida RRT or CRT license in hand at time of submission
• Certifications Required (must be current and in hand):

  • NBRC Certification (for CRT and RRT candidates)
  • AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Employment Details

• Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Duration: 12 weeks
• Scheduling: All requests for time off and scheduling must be communicated during submission and interview
• Work History: Must include all prior work history, including any previous positions with the Cleveland Clinic, in your profile

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Identification: Valid government-issued photo ID required on assignment
• Background Checks:

  • Criminal background check (FCRA compliant 7-year search) required prior to start and must be updated for breaks in service of 2+ months
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required monthly
• Fingerprinting: FBI and BCI fingerprints required within 12 months of start; must be completed ASAP (cannot pend at start)
• Health Documents:

  • Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming ability to perform essential job functions
  • Fit mask test within 12 months of start, updated annually (specific approved masks required)
  • Negative 2-step TB test or chest x-ray within 6 months of start, renewed annually
  • Required immunizations or titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start, updated annually
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31)
• References: Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references required
• Employment Application: Must include 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years clinical practice in an acute care setting similar to the assignment
• Competency: Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start, updated annually
• Skills Checklist: Unit-specific skills checklist required, updated annually
• Orientation: Completion of online training modules (4-5 hours) prior to start; modules must be completed on a computer using Chrome browser
• Badge: Photo required for badge issuance; badge must be obtained prior to start

Additional Notes

• Candidates working with pediatric patients (RRT-NICU) will complete fingerprinting onsite as part of onboarding
• Fingerprinting code: 4723.09 (Nursing)
• PAPRs are not approved for failure due to facial hair; religious or medical exemptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• All documentation must be current and uploaded with appropriate expiration dates as specified
