Description
Occupational Therapist (OT) Travel Position
Location: Hopewell, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel
Facility & Unit Overview
- Hospital Unit: Rehabilitation Services
- Number of Beds: 147
- Patient Ratios: Varies
- Unit Staffing: 2 primary floors with unit secretaries and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
- Equipment: All assistive devices and supplies for Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), steps, parallel bars (3rd floor)
- Documentation System: Meditech Expanse
- Scheduling: Flexible shifts, either 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- Floating Policy: Not applicable
- Patient Experience: High priority to provide excellent care
- Certifications: Stroke Certified unit
Job Responsibilities
- Evaluation and treatment of acute care patients including Med/Surg, Joint/Spine, Telemetry, ICU, and PCU patients
- Collaborate closely with Case Management team for patient placement recommendations
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR Certification required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) / CPR certification
- Occupational Therapist License
Dress Code
- Scrubs and comfortable shoes required
- Preferred colors: black or royal blue, but any color acceptable
- Jeans are not allowed
