Occupational Therapist (OT) Travel Position

Location: Hopewell, Virginia

Facility & Unit Overview

• Hospital Unit: Rehabilitation Services
• Number of Beds: 147
• Patient Ratios: Varies
• Unit Staffing: 2 primary floors with unit secretaries and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
• Equipment: All assistive devices and supplies for Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), steps, parallel bars (3rd floor)
• Documentation System: Meditech Expanse
• Scheduling: Flexible shifts, either 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Floating Policy: Not applicable
• Patient Experience: High priority to provide excellent care
• Certifications: Stroke Certified unit

Job Responsibilities

• Evaluation and treatment of acute care patients including Med/Surg, Joint/Spine, Telemetry, ICU, and PCU patients
• Collaborate closely with Case Management team for patient placement recommendations

Required Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR Certification required)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) / CPR certification
• Occupational Therapist License

Dress Code

• Scrubs and comfortable shoes required
• Preferred colors: black or royal blue, but any color acceptable
• Jeans are not allowed
