Job Summary: Radiology / Cardiology Technologist (Travel/Contract)
Location: Chicago, Illinois
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a hospital-based two-year training program in Radiologic Technology or Associate’s Degree Program in Radiology Technology
- ARRT registered in Radiography (ARRT)(R)
- CPR - Basic Life Support certification through American Heart Association
- Clinical and technical competency in Mammography to meet MQSA requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Three or more years of experience in Radiology/Cardiology specialty (3+ years required)
Licensure
- Traveler will obtain Illinois Emergency Medical Agency (IEMA) license once booked (usually takes about a week)
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA only, required for Radiology Tech
- ARRT Certification: Must be current
- Other certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, EFM, NIH Stroke Certification may be required depending on specialty area (verify with recruiter)
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start
- Education verification of highest degree completed
- Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry eligibility and fingerprinting (must be completed in Illinois)
- Drug testing: 10-panel within 30 days of start (no instant or dilute results accepted)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming good health and no physical limitations
- Fit mask testing within 12 months of start, updated annually (3M Aura 1870+ required)
- Immunizations and health screenings including:
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years (TD not accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray as applicable
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B vaccine series or declination accepted
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
- COVID vaccination series or declination
Additional Requirements
- Completion of competency exam prior to start
- Color blindness test (passing score required)
- Employment history covering 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days
- Completion of facility-specific training modules and policy acknowledgements prior to start
- Sexual harassment training (annual update required)
- Confidentiality, information security, cannabis acknowledgment, and scanning technology consent forms must be signed prior to start
- Accommodation request forms for vaccinations if applicable (must be submitted within 24-48 hours of contract signing)
