Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Cardiac Step-Down)
Location: Zanesville, Ohio
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week
- Schedule: Typically every 3rd weekend and 1 holiday (subject to change based on census and staffing)
- On-Call: No regular on-call required; rare call days possible during fluctuating census/staffing
- Start Date: January 19, 2026 (no alternative start dates)
- Floating: May be required to float to other units during low volume or coverage crises
Requirements
- Specialty: Nursing – Cardiac Step-Down
- Experience: Minimum 3 years cardiac step-down experience, including:
- Heart cath recovery
- Cardiac drips
- Post-op open heart patients
- Other cardiac/med-surg step-down patients
- Skills:
- Experience with Open-Heart care
- Ventilator management
- Epic EMR system
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Additional Information
- Facility may cancel up to 36 hours during the 13-week contract
- No prior travel experience required for this position
This role is ideal for experienced cardiac step-down nurses comfortable with night shifts and flexible scheduling.
