Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 100
• Staff: 2 Occupational Therapists, 3 outpatient COTAs, 2 inpatient COTAs
• Shifts: Day shift only
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 7-10 patients per therapist
• Equipment: Standard inpatient and outpatient equipment including estim, ultrasound, infrared
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Call Requirements: None

Requirements

• PT License (Occupational Therapist degree required for Florida)
• BLS Certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty (Physical/Occupational Therapy)

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with outpatient evaluations, 10/30 minute sessions, progress reports, and discharge notes
• Experience with upper extremity orthopedic and neurological cases (training/support provided)
• Ability to perform inpatient evaluations
• Strong typing and documentation skills to support OT staff in managing care
• Adaptability to a fast-paced unit and ability to work independently

Work Schedule

• Typical workdays: Tuesday through Saturday
• Patient population: Adults, both outpatient and inpatient
