Travel RN Opportunity - Emergency Department

Unit Information

• Department: Emergency Department
• Number of Beds: 37 (Level 2 Trauma)
• Staffing:

  • Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 7 RNs, 2 Techs/Paramedics, 5 mid-shift RNs, 2 mid-shift techs
  • Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 7 RNs, 2 Techs/Paramedics, 5 mid-shift RNs, 2 mid-shift techs
• Patient Ratios: 1:4 in zone
• Equipment: GE Monitors
• EMR System: MediTech

Required Skills & Experience

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) in Emergency Department
• Years of Experience Required: 1 year
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required (no mention of prior travel experience requirement)
• Key Skills:

  • High caliber patient experience skills (mandatory)
  • Typical Emergency Department skills (preferred)
• Personality Fit: High energy, self-motivated, amicable

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• NIH Certification

Additional Information

• Floating Areas: ED patients admitted to hospital holding in ED
• Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs (top and bottom)
• Schedule: 4 weekend shifts in 4 weeks; no on-call required

This position is ideal for RNs with at least 1 year of Emergency Department experience looking for a travel contract in a Level 2 Trauma facility.
