Job Opportunity: Emergency Department Nurse (Contract)
Location: Fort Defiance, Arizona

Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years recent RN experience in the specialty (Emergency Department) required.
- In some cases, more experience may be required.
- Prior travel experience is required (indicated by "JOB POST FOR A RETURNING TRAVELER").
Job Description
- Work in a fast-paced Emergency Department consisting of:
- 11-bed Main ED
- 6-bed ED Fast Track
- 7-bed ED Observation Unit
- Nurses rotate regularly through all ED areas.
- Assignments may include Triage, Quick Registration, Covid Tent, and Entry Screening.
- Daily area assignments with possible shift rotations depending on patient volume and unit needs.
- May assist with Covid testing and immunization clinics as needed.
- Night shifts primarily (7 PM - 7 AM), with possible shift changes including day shifts to accommodate staffing needs.
- Typical schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off, alternating between 36 and 48 hours per week.
- Occasional floating to other departments where qualified, which may involve patient care or task-oriented duties (e.g., answering call lights, phones).
Required Certifications
- American Heart Association BLS
- ACLS
- PALS or ENPC
- TNCC
- Conscious sedation certification (obtained through facility after confirmation; fee applies)
Additional Information
- Orientation is held on Mondays only.
- Travelers must meet compliance deadlines or orientation will be rescheduled to the following Monday.
