Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Job Description

• Start Date: ASAP, no assignments past 1/19
• Shift:

  • Variable start times
  • Combination of 5 days of 8-hour shifts and 4 days of 10-hour shifts, Monday-Friday between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm
  • No weekends or federal holidays required
  • No 12-hour shifts accepted
  • Short call rotation every 4 weeks starting at 6:30 pm Monday-Friday to finish cases

Requirements

• Licensure: New Jersey or Compact RN License
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of EP Lab RN experience (Electrophysiology Lab)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (AHA only)
  • BLS (AHA only)
  • Other certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, EFM) but not specified for this role
• Vaccinations & Health:

  • COVID-19 vaccination with booster required (no medical or religious exemptions accepted)
  • Flu vaccination mandatory (no exemptions accepted)
  • Proof of other immunizations and health screenings required (e.g., TB test, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella)
• Background Checks:

  • 7-year background check within 6 months of start
  • Sex offender, OFAC sanctions, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks required
• Testing & Competencies:

  • Pass/fail testing onsite including Telemetry and Medication exams
  • Annual competency exams with minimum 80% passing score
  • Core competency exams (Parts I, II, III) required annually with 80% passing score
  • Color Blind Testing (Ishihara test) within 1 year of assignment start
• Other Documentation:

  • Physical exam within 72 hours of contract signing
  • Drug testing (9-panel) within 72 hours of contract signing
  • Employment verification for last 7 years
  • Two professional references required (one supervisory within last 12 months)
  • Education verification and diploma required

Additional Notes

• Interview required prior to offer
• Local rate defined as within 75 miles of facility
• Facility does not accept medical or religious exemptions for flu or COVID vaccines
• Orientation safety manual and facility-specific learning modules must be completed prior to start
