Diagnostic Imaging Technologist - Contract Opportunity
Location: Bozeman, Montana
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Summary
- Perform general nuclear medicine examinations, including on-call services, therapeutic procedures, and PET/CT patient exams in a hospital-based, acute care environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited program or equivalent.
- Certification:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in nuclear medicine OR
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Preferred: Minimum 1 year post-graduate experience as a registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
Essential Job Functions
- Perform nuclear medicine quality control measures, patient exams, and procedures as requested by medical staff.
- Assist Radiologists and other medical staff during exams and procedures.
- Maintain proper distribution, billing, and archival of exams and procedures.
- Complete documentation required for interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams.
- Verify written/electronic orders and related health information to ensure timely performance and reporting of nuclear medicine exams and procedures.
- Participate in implementation, monitoring, and improvement of hospital quality indicators.
- Document administration, receipt/return, decay, and disposal of radioactive materials in compliance with state and federal regulations.

- Perform essential job functions successfully in a busy and stressful environment.
- Learn and use current and new computer applications and office equipment.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.
Schedule Requirements
- Regular and sustained attendance required.
- May require working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
- On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.
Additional Information
- Facility may cancel up to three shifts during the 13-week contract due to low census or unforeseen circumstances.
- Candidates must live at least 90 miles away from the facility to be considered.
