Job Details

- Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, Monday - Thursday, Days 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience required in specialty (higher value taken if discrepancies)
- Outpatient experience required
- Variety of experience needed including neuro, ortho, balance, spine, cardiopulmonary, geriatrics, neuro, ortho, sports medicine
- Vestibular experience preferred
- First-time travelers are accepted (no prior travel experience required)
Certifications & Licenses
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - Must be AHA or ARC certified
- NC Physical Therapy License required
- EPIC system experience required
- Other certifications may be required depending on unit (verify with program management)
- Pass/Fail EKG exam required for all RNs regardless of specialty
- Additional certifications may include ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIH Stroke Certification, CPI, and others depending on specialty and unit
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
- Social Security Card (required for badge)
- Background check within 60 days covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years, including aliases, criminal, sex offender, federal court, FACIS Level 3, education verification, and international searches if applicable
- Foreign equivalency education evaluation if education obtained outside the U.S.
- Transcript/Diploma for highest education (as applicable)
- Fingerprinting (NC SBI Fingerprint Results) required for Home Health and Long-Term Care positions only
- Education verification by a 3rd party required, with strict parameters depending on profession
- State license primary source verification within 30 days of start (NC PT license required)
- NURSYS verification for applicable professions within 60 days of start
- Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 40 days of start (includes THC, opiates, methadone, cocaine, PCP, amphetamines, benzodiazepines, barbiturates, oxycodone, propoxyphene)
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (adult vaccine proof required)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 6 months
- TB Questionnaire within 30 days of start and annually
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Hepatitis B: Titer or declination required
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually
- Fit mask test (N95) completed within current calendar year and updated annually (not required for some specialties)
- Physical exam required for some positions (not for 100% remote non-clinical)
Testing & Competencies
- Pass/Fail EKG/Dysrhythmia exam required for all RNs except Behavioral Health and Case Managers (2 attempts allowed)
- EPIC test required for Allied candidates and RNs (2 attempts allowed, 3rd attempt possible with manager approval)
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required as applicable (80% passing score)
- Color Blind Testing required (except non-clinical)
- Competency exams required as applicable (80% passing score)
References & Work History
- 2 supervisory references required for clinical positions (one within 12 months, one within 24 months)
- Employment application/resume with 7-year work history required
- Verification of all employment within last 5 years required through third-party vendor
- Annual skills checklist with a one-week grace period for renewal
Additional Notes
- Candidate must be flexible with scheduling and aware of zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
- Compliance deadlines are strict; all documentation must be completed on time
- Candidate must review and sign facility-specific policies including floating policy and contractor equipment acknowledgment
- Badge photo must meet strict facility requirements (no selfies, solid color background, business casual or uniform attire, forward-facing pose)
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position
This position offers a diverse outpatient therapy experience with a focus on neuro, ortho, balance, spine, cardiopulmonary, geriatrics, and sports medicine. It is suitable for therapists with at least 4 years of experience and is open to first-time travelers. Compliance with extensive documentation, immunization, and testing requirements is mandatory.
