OR Registered Nurse (RN) Traveler

Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Job Summary

• Position: OR RN Traveler
• Facility Type: Operating Room with 35 ORs
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: Circulate for one OR room
• Shifts: 8, 10, and/or 12-hour shifts
• Schedule:

  • 12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with one late shift per week (8:30 PM to 9:00 PM)
  • 2-4 night call shifts in a 4-week schedule
  • Possibility of 2-4 day call shifts (7:00 AM to 9:00 PM) in a 4-week schedule
  • May work every 5th weekend day shift as needed, with a weekday off to compensate
• Work week: Sunday through Saturday
• Call shifts: Average one to two per month
• Floating: No floating to other units, but must be flexible to work in all specialties if needed

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of circulating experience in OR
• Certifications: BLS required
• Licensure: South Dakota RN license or compact license
• Experience with EPIC charting required
• Experience in robotics highly preferred
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

Orientation & Training

• Orientation to the unit expected within one week
• One-day hospital orientation covering charting, ESAR privileges, and orientation to units such as pre-op and PACU

Additional Information

• Scrubs provided (Ceil Blue)
• Dress code: No earrings, must adhere to surgical dress code
• Must badge in and out at the facility
• Local placements within 80 miles
• Guarantee: 36 hours per week for 12-hour shifts or 40 hours per week for 8-10 hour shifts
