Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (Travel/Contract)

Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Contract Length: 12 weeks


Position Overview

  • Work as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in NICU, PICU, and CVICU settings with pediatric patients.
  • May float to Shaker Children's Rehab, Fairview NICU, Akron NICU, and Hillcrest NICU.
  • Schedule options: 3x12-hour shifts or 4x12-hour shifts.
  • High-level care experience required (Level 4 NICU).

Required Qualifications

  • Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
  • Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (PEDS, PICU, NICU experience required).
  • Licensure: Must have Ohio RRT license in hand.
  • Certifications:
    • NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care) certification required.
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA preferred (RQI acceptable but non-RQI preferred).
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA required for Emergency Department roles.
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA required for RRT-NICU.
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - AHA/AAP required for RRT-NICU.

  • Required immunizations or titers: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start, updated annually.
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31).

Facility-Specific Requirements

  • Completion of online training modules (4-5 hours) prior to start; must be done on a computer using Chrome.
  • Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start, updated annually.
  • Unit-specific skills checklist required, updated annually.
