Description
Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics - Travel/Contract
Location: San Angelo, Texas
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Start Date: Preferred 1/26; may consider 2/9
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Qualifications & Experience
- CRT or RRT accepted
- No explicit years of experience stated; assume minimum required is based on specialty standards (Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics)
- Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required
Work Schedule
- Facility prefers 48 hours/week but may consider 36 hours/week
Required Certifications
- ACLS (AHA or ARC accepted)
- BLS (AHA or ARC accepted)
- PALS (AHA or ARC accepted; ICU RNs have 1 year to obtain for longer assignments)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) as applicable
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) as applicable; required for ER, ICU RNs have 1 year to obtain for longer assignments
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) as applicable
- NIH Stroke Certification as applicable (required for ICU and PCU)
- Chemotherapy certification as applicable
- ENPC as applicable
- State License Verification within 30 days of start
- NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP) within 30 days of start
- Tech Cert Verification - National within 30 days of start
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (annual update)
- Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) during orientation
Background & Compliance Requirements
- 7 Year Background Check required within 30 days of start (statewide, counties, federal, national, education verification, international if applicable)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
- HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
- Education Verification required
- Legal name must match on all documentation (license, social security card, certifications)
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract)
- Fit Test within 6 months prior to start; annual updates required
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years of start
- Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year of start; TB Questionnaire required annually or in lieu of annual test
- Rubeola (Measles): Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; boosters if negative/equivocal
- Mumps: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; boosters if negative/equivocal
- Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; boosters if negative/equivocal
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer or series with signed declination if applicable
- Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or proof of disease; boosters if negative/equivocal
- Drug Testing required within 30 days; includes multiple substances; plan must be in place within 72 hours of contract signing
- Flu Seasonal Vaccination or facility-specific declination form required during flu season (10/31-3/31)
- COVID initial series required; boosters not required

- Completion of various facility forms prior to start, including:
- Non Employee Information Form
- Vaccine Exemption Form (if applicable)
- Applicant Health Record Form
- Code of Conduct and Compliance Form
- Compact- Temporary License Declaration of Residency Form
- Confidentiality Statement Form
- Information System Security Agreement Form
- Non-Employee Orientation Update Form
- Traveler Orientation
- Hepatitis B Declination (if no positive titer on file)
Additional Requirements
- 2 References within 3 years of start
- Copy of Resume/Application required
- Skills Checklist required and updated annually
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
