Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist (Travel/Contract)

Location: Saint Cloud, Minnesota
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

Work Schedule

  • Shift: 4 days per week, 9-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 4:30 PM and 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
  • Total hours: 36 hours/week
  • On-call: 1-2 call shifts during the week and 1 call weekend per 4-week schedule

Job Description

  • Work as an Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist in 2 IR rooms with 2 Interventional Radiologists daily
  • Duties include scrubbing, annotating, sending images to PACS, and circulating during procedures
  • Procedures include:
    • Lower and upper extremity angiograms
    • Atherectomy
    • Mesenteric angiograms
    • Dialysis fistulagram/declot
    • Nephrostomy tubes
    • Biliary tubes
    • Embolizations
    • Ports placement

Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology
  • Experience with peripheral procedures required
  • Preferred experience with Toshiba/Cannon Interventional rooms
  • Preferred experience with nephrogram, kyphoplasty, internal/external biliary drainage, venous access

Certifications

  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required

Background and Compliance

  • Criminal background check required within 1 year of start, including multi-level searches (7-year, SS trace, counties, sex offender, nationwide)
  • Education verification required (diploma acceptable in lieu of third-party verification)
  • GSA/SAM and OIG excluded provider checks required
  • Minnesota DHS NetStudy Fingerprint clearance required prior to start (candidates cannot start with fingerprints pending)
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start required
  • Drug testing (9-panel) required within 1 year of start
  • Immunizations and health documentation required:
    • Tdap vaccination (no declinations accepted)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray per Minnesota state guidelines
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) proof of immunity or vaccination
    • Hepatitis B vaccination, positive titer, or declination
    • Varicella immunity or vaccination
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination (mask required if declined)

Additional Requirements

  • Two professional references from recent employers within 2 years
  • Skills checklist required for all clinical candidates
  • Completion of facility-specific education modules during orientation (approx. 16 hours)
  • Dress code adherence: RRTs wear dove gray scrubs (light gray)
  • Photo for badge required (grey background, no selfies, JPG format)
  • Confidentiality agreement must be signed prior to start
  • Candidates must return badges on last day of assignment
