Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics - Travel/Contract
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

Job Requirements
Licenses & Certifications:
- NBRC (RRT) certification required
- Indiana state license required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty
- At least 18 months recent ICU experience required
- Education must be accredited through CoARC and regionally accredited through CHEA
Shift: Every Other Week (EOW) required
Floating: Must be willing to float between multiple hospital locations within the system
Travel Experience:
- First-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience NOT required)
Required Documentation & Compliance
Background Checks:
- Must include 7 years of residence/work history
- Social Security Number trace, county and statewide criminal checks, national sex offender registry, FACIS Level III
- Education verification
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
Health & Immunization:
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 12 months (specific approved respirators required)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Immunizations or positive titers required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella (Chickenpox)
- Hepatitis B (series, titer, or signed declination)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap preferred but not required
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required for flu season (9/30 - 3/31)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months
Competency & Skills:
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam (not required for Techs or RRTs)
- Unit competency exam required
- Color blind testing (Ishihara exam or equivalent) with 100% minimum score
References & Employment History:
- Minimum 2 references from recent employment within 2 years
- Employment application with full work history and explanations for gaps of 30+ days
- Skills checklist completed within 12 months and annually thereafter
Additional Notes
- Mandatory Training:
- RRT candidates must complete 22 mandatory IU Health RRT modules prior to orientation (paid time)
- Facility Policies:
- Indiana RN travelers (except Periop/OR RN’s, Allied, and Ambulatory RN travelers) will not be allowed to work past 11/30/24 at IU Health facilities
- Floating Locations: Methodist, University, Fishers, Morgan
