Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: 3 x 12-hour night shifts
- Setting: Busy adult critical care/trauma hospital
- Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT mandatory)
- Experience:
- Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Experience with Hamilton ventilators and EPIC charting preferred
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
Required Credentials & Certifications
- Professional Licensure:
- Valid professional license with primary source verification (MA Conditional Licenses not accepted)
- Certifications:
- BLS (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted; AHA preferred)
- Health Requirements:
- N95 Fit Test within 365 days of start date, updated annually (no onsite testing)
- MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
- Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30)
- TB test (skin or blood test) within 3 months of start date, updated if >6 month break
- Physician health statement within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break
- Additional Vaccines (Preferred):
- Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity proof (optional)
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years (preferred)
Background & Compliance Checks
- Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
- Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
- Social Security Number trace for past 7 years
- National sex offender registry check within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
- Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
- Education verification of highest degree achieved
Submission Requirements
- Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
- Two recent references (minimum one supervisor or above) in the relevant skillset
- Skills checklist
- Candidate submission coversheet
Notes
- No religious exemptions for N95 fit testing or influenza vaccine
- Fit test and respirator medical clearance attestation required
- All documentation must be current and updated as specified to maintain compliance
