Job Opportunity: Night Shift Pharmacist (Contract)

Location: Janesville, Wisconsin

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Night Shift Pharmacist position with a 7/70 schedule (10-hour shifts).
• Week 1: 7 shifts from Wednesday through the following Tuesday (10-hour shifts).
• Week 2: Off completely.
• Week 3: 70 hours of 10-hour shifts.
• Performs all pharmaceutical care functions including:

  • Reviewing medication and IV orders for appropriateness (drug, dose, allergies, interactions, incompatibilities).
  • Monitoring therapeutic drug levels.
  • Supervising computer data entry related to patient profiles.
  • Ensuring accuracy in medication dispensing.
  • Supervising prescription filling and providing patient counseling.
  • Collecting and analyzing data for process improvement.
  • Conducting in-service education for community and support groups.
  • May be required to work alternate shifts.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Program.
• Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist in Wisconsin.
• Expertise as a staff pharmacist with comprehensive knowledge and experience.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development through literature review, continuing education, and self-evaluation.
