Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist (Acute Care)
Location: Aspen, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
The Physical Therapist (Acute Care) is responsible for evaluating, planning, directing, and administering physical therapy treatments. The goal is to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability. The therapist assists patients in reaching their maximum performance and level of functioning while adapting to their capabilities.
Work Schedule
- Wednesday to Sunday
- 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (10-hour days)
- Approximately 40 hours per week
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (required)
- Unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapist (PT) in Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (may be obtained upon hire)
- Preferred: Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
- Preferred: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist
- Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish
Additional Information
- Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing. Housing is extremely expensive, especially in winter. Consider nearby towns such as Basalt, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs. Typical rent for a 1-bedroom apartment in Basalt is around $3,500/month.
- While hours cannot be guaranteed, scheduling is typically around 36-40 hours per week with no downstaffing.
- No Return to Office (RTO) requests are accepted.
- Must be healthy enough to safely function in a low oxygen environment (8,000 ft elevation).
