Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Contract Length: 7 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: 3x12 hour shifts, Nights (7 PM - 7 AM)
  • Schedule: Every other weekend rotation, holidays as needed
  • Float: Required; travelers may float between all facilities within the system
  • Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics
  • Patient Diagnoses: Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Substance Abuse

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required (higher value confirmed)
  • Prior travel experience NOT required (First Time Traveler OK)
  • Previous Charge RN experience required
  • Experience in Emergency Department (ED) or Urgent Care required

Certifications Required

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • STARR Certification
  • EPIC system proficiency
  • Pass/Fail EKG/Dysrhythmia exam required for all RNs (except Behavioral Health or Case Managers)
  • Other certifications may be required depending on unit (verify with program management)

Patient Ratios

  • Nurse to patient ratio: 1:6

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
  • Social Security Card (for badge issuance)
  • Background check within 60 days covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
  • Education verification (Associate's degree in nursing or higher required)
  • Transcript/Diploma as proof of highest education
  • Foreign equivalency evaluation if education obtained outside the U.S.
  • Fingerprinting (NC SBI Fingerprint Results) required for certain positions (Home Health and Long-Term Care only)
  • Health documents including:
    • Physical exam (if applicable)
    • Fit mask test (annual)
    • Immunizations: Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu vaccine or exemption
    • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 40 days of start
    • TB testing and questionnaire
  • Employment application/resume with 7-year work history
  • Work history verification for last 5 years
  • Two supervisory references required (at least one within 12 months prior to start)
  • Annual skills checklist with a one-week grace period for renewal

Important Notes

  • Zero tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
  • Mandatory completion of compliance by 12 Noon EST the Wednesday prior to start date
  • Pass/Fail EKG exam required regardless of specialty
  • Floating policy applies to all agency staff (except non-clinical)
  • Badge photo must meet strict facility requirements (no selfies, solid color background, business casual or uniform attire)
  • Candidates must review and sign facility-specific policies including floating policy and contractor equipment acknowledgment
  • Orientation safety manual acknowledgment required
  • Candidates must complete and upload a health history form prior to clearance
