Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology (Travel/Contract)
Location: Paramus, New Jersey
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Shift: Every third weekend
- Start Date: ASAP preferred
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Local Candidates: Accepted if within 75 miles
Requirements
- Licensure:
- ARRT certification required (MR-MRI specifically required)
- State license needed (can submit with pending license)
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience preferred in specialty
- Siemens equipment experience preferred
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
Certifications & Competencies
- Required Certifications:
- ARRT (Radiology)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA only (selected staff)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - for Labor and Delivery, Mother Baby, NICU
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) - for Labor and Delivery (AWHONN Advanced or NCC C-EFM within 2 years)
- Competency Exams:
- Pass/fail testing onsite for telemetry and medication exams (for RNs and relevant techs)
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (80% pass rate, annual update)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (80% pass rate, annual update)
- Core Competency Exams (Parts I, II, III) - 80% passing score, annual update
- Phlebotomy competency exam for PCT/PCA staff
- Color Blind Testing (Ishihara test within 1 year of assignment start)
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 72 hours of contract signing (signed by MD, DO, PA, or NP)
- Fit mask test within 72 hours of contract signing (N95 or equivalent required)
- Immunizations and testing within 72 hours of contract signing:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (preferred, not required)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (annual or within 6 months)
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella - proof of 2 MMR vaccinations or positive titer
- Hepatitis B surface antibody titer or declination
- Varicella - proof of 2 vaccinations or positive titer
- Flu vaccination mandatory (seasonal, no declinations accepted)
- COVID-19 vaccination series and booster required (no declinations or partial series)
- Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 72 hours of contract signing (valid within 30 days)
Background & Verification
- 7-year background check required within 6 months of start, including:
- County, statewide, national criminal checks
- Sex offender registry
- OIG Sanction Search
- EPLS/GSA/SAM verification
- Education verification required (diploma can be used as placeholder if pending)
- Employment verification for last 7 years required (no attestations accepted)
- Two professional references required:
- One supervisory reference within 12 months
- One professional reference within 3 years
Additional Notes
- No holiday time off approved
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgment required
- Pass/fail testing acknowledgment required for all RN specialties and certain tech roles
- Facility-specific learning modules and tests must be completed prior to start
This position is ideal for healthcare professionals with ARRT certification and experience in MRI, who are comfortable working travel contracts and meeting comprehensive credentialing and compliance requirements.
